Brustor is a Belgian family business that has become a top international player in the solar shading and pergola market over the years. European quality, produced locally and sustainably in West Flanders – this is our story.

Over 60 years of experience

In 1965, Louis Brutsaert founded his own company specialised in tarpaulins and solar shading. His expertise and experience were the solid foundation for the Brustor brand launched in 1997. Since then, we have experienced strong growth. In 2011, we launched our first louvred roof pergolas, marking the start of what we call our Outdoor Living range today. This launch gave our activities a solid boost, and we quickly outgrew our site in Geluwe. In 2013, we moved to a new home base in Gullegem: a 40,000-m² site with its own production facilities, warehouse and offices. This is where we now produce our folding arm awnings, screens, conservatory awnings and pergolas. And our growth continues unabated: we added an additional site in 2024 at the Evolis business park in Kortrijk. 

Belgian quality, locally produced 


Since we settle for nothing less than quality, we place a priority on the most modern production and assembly techniques. Thanks to our in-house powder coating, sawmill, textile workshop and assembly and quality control departments, we maintain complete control over our production process. We can proudly say that our design and products are 100% Belgian! Thanks to our two fully automated warehouses, we can quickly stock our production lines so our customers and dealers never have to wait long for their pergolas or solar shading products.
